Juicing With A Blender
Some people don't realize that you don't need an expensive juicer to make healthy natural juice at home. All you need is a great blender, a nut bag(muslin bag), and a large bowl. Blend your veggies, pour them into the nut bag, and squeeze out the juice. It's that simple and quick! I have a Breville juicer, but honestly I find it to be too much work and clean up to use frequently.
Benefits Of Blender Over Juicer For Juicing Include:
- Easier clean up
- Less waste
- More nutrient dence juice
- Blenders are less expensive than juicers
Health Benefits Of Juicing
- Easy way to consume more than your daily recommended veggies and fruit
- Quick way to get many nutrients into your body to boost your immune system, improve energy, and decrease inflammation
- Juicing protects heat sensitive nutrients
- Help detoxify and cleanse the body
- Aid weight loss
- Improve Blood pressure
Choosing The Right Blender For Juicing
Some experts claim that blending can destroy a large amount of the nutrients found in vegetables and fruits due to the oxidation that happens while blending at high speeds. This is one reason why I use a NutritBullet Blender, because it does not blend it "extracts." NutriBullet states, "unlike juicers and blenders, nutrient extractors break down the cell walls of fibrous plant foods, releasing important vitamins and minerals contained within." So essentially you get more nutrients from using a NutriBullet Blender over a regular blender or high speed juicer.
How To Use Natural Juice To Detox and Cleanse Your Body
A juice cleanse is essentially a form a fasting that gives your body a rest from digesting foods. There are numerous health benefits of fasting some of which include weight loss, improved insulin sensitivity, improved fat burning, and improved energy. According to medifitnetwork.org, fasting has been shown to have regenerative effects on the immune system. Research suggest that fasting signals the immune system to destroy old and damaged cells and generate new ones.
I don't recommend juicing more than a couple of days at a time. I only use juicing as a way to jumpstart a new healthy eating lifestyle to further facilitate weight loss. When juicing the key for maximal health benefits is to use primarily vegetables like leafy greens, beets, cucumbers, celery, carrots and few fruit. These vegetables are high in water content. Water is the most important element to detoxify the body. Choice of fruit should be low in sugar like lemon juice, berries and apples.

Will believe that the Juice blender operates at a slower rate so that the heat is kept to a least so that the juice has the maximum nutritional value.
